Auction Fees and Commission:
The consignment/catalog fee per horse is $125.00. Stall Fee is $20 per horse, per night. Consignment fee must be paid in advance and non-refundable once horse is consigned. An 8% commission will be charged on all horses sold. No-sale fee on horses is $100.00. A brand fee will be charged on all horses. Consignor is required to leave a new or like new halter and lead rope with the horse after horse is sold. If horse is sold and left with no halter or lead rope the consignor will be charged $25.00 for a new halter and lead rope to be given to the new owner. This charge will be deducted from owner’s gross sale.
Vet Check:
Consignor understands that if their horse shows up at the auction at check-in and is not sale ready, due to sickness, lame or any other cause that might be unacceptable they will be scratched from the auction and consignment fee is forfeited.
All horses must have a current Coggins test in owner’s name.
All horses coming from a brand state must have a Brand Inspection.
All horses must have current Health Papers to enter sale premises.
Private Sales:
Absolutely no private sales before or after the auction. All horses brought to the auction must go through our auction ring. Any horses “no sold” in the auction ring but sold outside are expected to run the transaction through our office. We will leave it up to the integrity of the seller.
Consignor’s Guarantee:
The soundness guarantee is made by the seller only. Unless otherwise stated, all horses will be sold sound. Shall any soundness disputes arise, and is determined that the defect was present at the time of sale and not announced, the sale of said horse can be null and void and the consignor still pays 8% commission. If Harley Troyer determines the horse not to have the alleged defect the sale of said horse is valid and enforceable and purchaser assumes all costs of examination, treatment, and sale purchase price. In settling disputes, the decision by Harley Troyer is final. Soundness does not guarantee pass of inspection by any vet following the sale. The consignor of each animal represents and warrants to the buyer the following:
Sound of limb, eyes, wind, and not a cribber or wind sucker.
No substitutions or replacements once a horse has been consigned.
Consignor agrees to not privately sell the consigned horse. To withdraw your original consigned horse from Mile High Select Sale, horse must be injured or sick and must have a vet release. There is no implied warranty made by auctioneer or Sale Company as to the merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose of any animal in the sale. The seller is the responsible party for guarantees expressed or implied concerning the condition of any horse.
Consignor’s Checks:
All consignor checks will be mailed within 5 banking days of the auction date and made payable to owner listed on the consignment form.
